This blog seeks to provide a reasonable, down to earth, everyday opinion on the world of cinema and movies.

Over the last few years film critics in national newspapers have begun to miss what cinema is all about – namely, entertainment – and have been panning movies that, while not Oscar contenders, have been worth a watch.

All our reviewers are ordinary people, who enjoy all movie genres, but who mainly go to the cinema to avoid the monotony of everyday life.

We will also look at DVD’s and discuss our favourites, as well as many others.

Our films will be rated on a 0-10 scale, and we will wherever possible, look for more than one reviewer to pass judgement.

Hopefully we will be able to look at a wide range of genres, including the best of indie, and world cinema.

If you have any suggestions, or would like to recommend us a movie to review, please tweet us – details are at the bottom of the site.

Please don’t tweet us if your recommendation is Twilight… we won’t watch it, no matter how much you ask.
